Initial (internal) user provisioning of minio users is not working

Currently we get the following error:

# kubectl minio tenant list

Tenant 'eocc', Namespace 'eocc', Total capacity 1.6 TiB

  Current status: Provisioning initial users
  MinIO version: harbor.eocc.ieat.ro/cache-dockerhub/minio/minio:RELEASE.2024-03-10T02-53-48Z

The underlying issue might be related to the selfsigned certificates used by the internal services. Needs to be checked.
